Sustainability is an important facet of Dyer & Butler Electrical’s approach to business and we strive, in all our dealings, to contribute to a more sustainable world, socially, environmentally and economically.
Socially, Dyer & Butler Electrical is committed to engage and support local communities. Economically we aim to employ local personnel and source materials from local suppliers and manufactures whilst, environmentally, Dyer & Butler Electrical tries to have as little impact on the environment as possible.
This is achieved through best practise and Dyer & Butler Electrical’s environment management arrangements are continuously being improved and updated.
Key features of Dyer & Butler Electrical’s commitment to sustainability:
Community engagement strategies: These ensure local residents are involved with all phases of a project, from planning through to completion.
Dyer & Butler Electrical’s aim, at all times, is to complete successful projects that benefit the community.
Employing a local workforce is company policy. It helps reduce unnecessary commuting and staff are actively encouraged to travel together in the same car. By sourcing local materials, Dyer & Butler Electrical is also able to provide an economic benefit to the local community and they support local businesses whenever practicable.
Site-specific project management plans are put in place for every project. This addresses such issues as noise, vibration and pollution, as well as incorporating client and project requirements.
All environment incidents are dealt with at the highest level within the company and we work with our customers, their project teams and their own suppliers to ensure a top level of performance on all activity. Furthermore, all sites operate comprehensive waste management plans.
Dyer & Butler Electrical always procures low carbon materials, whenever practicable, as well as using recycled materials.
Materials are also recycled on site and all timber sourced from local and sustainable outlets.
Dyer & Butler Electrical strives to keep CO2 emissions to a minimum and embrace new technologies, such as solar power.
"Dyer & Butler Electrical's teams showed a great deal of commitment, drive and a real desire to get the job done – working long days and weekends which could have eroded enthusiasm."Paul Metcalf - Project Engineer,
